I'm Crafty! Part 3

See 'I'm Crafty' parts 1 & 2! 
My t-shirt quilt 
And I've been working on this for about a year now. its about time i finish odds and ends up of all these projects i start. 
I can recall how we started it. First i cut out the shirts put stiff backing on them. Then go find some crazy cute material you like to help sew them together. these will be the strips in the middles of the squares of the shirts. my shirts are 12" by 12" kind of big. oh and the ones on the top and bottom i have no idea what measurments those are. just estimate. it doesn't have to be perfect. Imperfection gives it personality. 

 Also make marks on the shirt so that you can cut it out straight. 

As you can see i did a varitey of t-shirts, some from jr.high, some from high school, girls camps, and other random things. we tried to choose material that would match most of the colors. And i loved the fact that the fabric we picked out was all crazy sqiggly cause i like to be crazy and different. i tied it an finished it! Hallelujah!
try a big project someday. it takes a lot of patience and time (: just to warn ya!

It's basically a mannequin head on a stick painted colors of

our school. its kind of a big deal. 

(sorry such horrible quality, came off my phone)

Its a tradition to have this head at all sports events. 

We love you Head. 

And we love you Football Team. 

We high schoolers live for Football games. 

Well at least i do anyways.

My Last First Day of High School

I'M A SENIOR!!!! FINALLY! haha just kidding, in all reality i really don't feel any different than from last year. Being at the top of the food chain is awesome. 
Likes: Locker spot, lunches, friends, and social time, aka advisory. 
Dislikes: Most of my classes, hot weather with no AC in car, 6am alarm clock, and annoying sophomores that think the world revolves around them. 


But mostly its great! 
While patiently waiting for the bell to ring in my 3rd hour, Financial Lit class. I  saw a girl i've never seen before, that sat in front of me. I ask her if she is a junior (thinking there are a few juniors in a class of all seniors.) Nope she's a Senior, in the few seconds that we have to talk, she tells me she just moved here from New Hampshire, and she's lived in Utah before but has lived there for most of her life. I say oh thats awesome. and thats when the bell rings. I was dumb and not thinking that she's new here as a senior, probably doesn't have many friends, i didn't think to ask her to join me for lunch, which was where we were going. But i will do so on Friday (Thats the next a-day). 
Other than the occasional homework assignments on the first two days of school, its normal. I went swimming yesterday after school, to put the effect in my head that I'm not going to school tomorrow, but I really am. bleh. schools in. when's Labor Day?

Vintage Taste Tuesday- featuring Anthropologie

We've started a new thing we'd like to try. I hope we can keep it rolling like music video mondays. So i present the very first Vintage Taste Tuesday. 


A little taste of vintage now a days, is displayed beautifully with the wedding gown line of Anthropologie. Can a man just ask me to marry him, so i can buy one of these outrageously expensive wedding dresses?
. . . answer : only in my dreams! 
but a girl can dream right?

 by far my favorite one, is the ruffles with all the layers. . on the far right side.

I get sucked into things!

oh my heavens! i now have a fixed agenda for all the times when i have nothing to do. its quite amazing how i got obsessed with a tumblr. but i'm now just finding out something almost better than tumblr. its called pintrest. i've only been on for a couple of minutes, and i'm OBSESSED! its going to be a wonder how i'll get my homework done this school year, with this new thing. ok i am quite aware that the internet is kind of a fantasy world, but i love all these new things coming out.

It's still summer up in here!

Take it all in. . . its still summer! breath the air and exhale the nasty thoughts of school coming. . . because we have 1 week to live it up! Don't be sad, live in the moment right now. what're you doing right now that has to do with summer? celebrate right now. don't worry about the future, the good thing about the future is that is comes one day at a time. So we still swim, because its not quite fall foliage yet, because we like to keep our summer tans until october, and most importantly, because it's STILL summer! 

oh and our sister's in town. . . this is not our child. its our other sister.

The most dreaded part of all

its coming to a close. . . and i am dearly sad:( i love summer too much. 

can you tell i'm so excited to be holding this dang schedule?!?! 

yup its that time of year again. 

I went to registration yesterday. i'm excited and sad at the same time. 

Here's what the dreaded schedule looks like

A 1- Pre-cal

A 2- Orchestra

A 3- Financial Literacy 

A 4- US Government

 B 5- AP Lit

B 6- Sports (PE)

 B 7-Child Education (Daycare)

B 8- Release Time

On the plus side i have an amazing locker spot, 

we kind of had connections. (; 

wish me luck as i go in for the last year.

8 months and counting!

i cannot contain my high of excitement! If you haven't seen from about a couple months ago post. Us here at 'My Sister's Closet' are HUGE Hunger Games Fans! If you have never heard of that name. Hunger Games.  Then i suggest you leave here, go to the library or bookstore, purchase or borrow, The Hunger Games Trilogy. It'll have your mind going crazy. So as for those of us that have read these wonderful books. Here is our little Hunger Games Happy hour. Enjoy!
