I just came to say, Hello!

Its a relief! Since last Sunday there have been 20+ people at my house!!! this ain't that big of an house! but its okay. here's how the week went. My father's sister and brother came out to Utah, and on Tuesday we headed out to the glorious Mt. Rushmore. While Jessica was in the beautiful Navuoo Illinois. It was a splendid time, hanging out with aunts and uncles, and cousins, and more cousins. it was fabulous. I love having a big family. It makes everything bigger, fun-er, and funnier. 
Okay in other news, Me and Jess went to a fireside tonight, it was amazing. Jake Heaps the BYU Quarterback spoke to us. He told us of how to be a good example, and how we can keep  greatness in our lives. And to always keep your priorities straight. 1. God & your faith. 2. Your Family. 3. Education 4. Friends. It was so good to hear him speak. and i am a little bit of a BYU fan, so after the fireside, me and 2 of my little friends and I walked up to him. There was a line. . . we had to wait a bit. People were asking for his autograph? Hello this is a fireside, not the time and place for an autograph, what're you going to do with it anyways? hang it in your room? but he was nice and still gave them his autograph. But i was better and    when it came to my turn, i got a bit nervous my friend Ashley nudged me to go first, i'm not going to lie, he was quite tall and i was a bit timid and shy. I forgot about all my nerves and said in quote "Hi, I enjoyed your talk." Jake Heaps "Thank You." while shaking my hand. i smiled then walked off, my friends followed my trend and did the same thing. He's very nice from what i learned from him on this evening. A very good speaker. and now i can say i met a BYU Quarterback. Oh and he was attractive, but he got married like a month ago. dang. But for now my life is complete, i met and shook Jake Heaps, a BYU Quarterback's hand. It was a great Sunday. 


Some To-Do lists for the week: 
Monday: Clean up house.
Tuesday: Maybe work.
Wednesday: Babysit, Martin Harris Pageant, and SYTYCD.
Thursday: SYTYCD.
Friday: do something with friends.
Saturday: do whatever. . .


I promise a lot on this blog, but i will promise, and i will keep this promise that i will put up pictures from my trip. Jess will too, from her Navuoo trip. I promise.

weekend scandals

Just kidding, this post is plainly dedicated to the weekend, full of laying out, fireworks and planking. and in Utah we have basically two holidays in the month of July that we can celebrate with fireworks. Pioneer Day is celebrated on the 24th of July, but in Utah if a holiday is on a Sunday, we move it to the monday or saturday before. So while our cousins are in town we lit off fireworks, and danced to the song, Party Rock Anthem, way too much. If you watch So You Think You Can Dance us and our cousins learned the Master Class dance for National Dance Day on July 30th. YAY for dance! 

but anyways, we love doing it. we'll video it and maybe put it up on here. 

This week we will be out of town, Mt. Rushmore is the place, we be there all week. We'll be doing some scheduled  posts.

relationship status.

When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.Helen Keller

The first thing i thought about when I read this quote was relationships. It's so true. When when we brake up with someone, we always stand there forever looking at that closed door of happiness. Longing for it to come back open. Then after much tears realizing that it won't we finely look around to see that there are many other open doors just waiting for us to go to them. I think it's the hardest when that door keeps opening and closing again. Wondering what it should do confused by what way will work best. If it's better open or closed. Sometimes I just want someone to tell me to close that door it's not right for you. Then at other times i wish someone would say no leave it open, it's want you want and need in your life. 

But in the end it has to be your decision to keep it open or close it and look for another Happiness.

A hair story.

Background to the story would be appropriate i assume. 

My sister Rebekah that is serving an LDS mission in Texas right now, graduated from hair school a couple of years ago. While she is on her mission us 4 sister's are having a contest to see who can grow their hair out the longest, and the simple reason being while our hairstylist is on her mission we shall not cut our hair. The other part of this is. . . I (Mia) have not cut nor colored my hair since November of 2010. it indeed has been a long while. but my hair seems to be stubborn and not grow whatsoever! While talking downstairs in my mother's sewing room, Jess imposed an idea. "Hey Mia, lets put some peek-a-boo highlights in your hair." note: mom and Jess have never really done bleach highlights to anyone's hair. me= a little scared, but i say why not, it's summer. so yesterday we dig out my sister's coloring box that has been buried at the bottom of our hair closet, Jess finds the bleach and gets everything out. i get even more scared. Now, my mom and jess are not new to this in anyway, i can't even count how many times i've watched Rebekah color hair before. but still wouldn't you be a little scared? i am very patient in trying not to be a boss and tell them what to do. they look at some directions on the bleach container, and i am freaking out. What if my hair is orange? what if it gets fried off by leaving it in there to long?. .. ya a lot of things could go wrong if coloring stuff isn't put together correct. So here are my pictures from yesterday. . . .

it seems like Mia has pretty much taken over this blog but don't forget everyone. I'm here still!!! ha I've just been kinda busy with my nannying job, church callings, family and friends etc.. . .  but anyways I'm still here. So any who. where has the time GONE? it's already the middle of july!!! crazy for sure. . . Right now I'm in sort of a pickle and i need your advice. .  I've been dying for a cute summer sun hat {aka something to wear to cover up my crazy hair}. . and i found these cute ones on roxy.com what one do you like?

I know they are super similar but I can't decide. .  i think i like the one on the left. .  yeah?

And do you guys think i could even pull off a big sun hat like this?

HELLO!!!!! okay, been a busy weekend. We had a Sister's retreat with my mother's side of the family. So thats where i've been all weekend. On Friday did anyone else dress like a cow to get some free Chick-fil-a? cause i did! and i can attest it was the bomb diggity, getting some free food. ha suckers, gotta wait till next year. I'd never been a harry potter fan till i saw the movies. and i do think these males in these pictures are quite attractive. When did everyone grow up though? seriously its crazy!

This Dress

Makes me absolutely happy. i love it. its designed to flow over your unwanted curves and such. it's designed to make me happy on a beautiful Sunday. I love wearing clothes that get you compliments. I will share where i purchased it. Target $25.00. ok so we have this thing in my family where, whenever someone gives you a compliment you say where you got it and the price. most of the time the price is a steal deal. but not this time. i had to have one of these dresses since i first set my brown eyes on them. I had to reward myself from some hardworking. it was a fabulous reward.
Also this dress, was the one i was talking about in this post.
